An 18 wheeler truck overturned on the Long Island Express around 8:30 AM this morning – closing all eastbound lanes for hours – backing up traffic to the Midtown Tunnel exit ramp.
The NYPD and emergency personnel were on the scene assisting the big rig tow truck to upright the overturned massive box truck.
This is a developing story. No details yet on the status of the driver or any other vehicles that might have been caught up in this accident.
