Eduardo Bolsonaro, son of former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro, said he is taking a leave from his role as a congressman to live in the United States and to help to build international support for his father and their political group.
Bolsonaro said he will work on developing international support to fight what he claims is called persecution against the Bolsonaro family, his father, their allies and supporters. Eduardo has been instrumental in the role of the family’s foreign emissary, appearing in the U.S. at conservative political conferences which is where APB News caught up with him at CPAC just outside of Washington DC.
Also, Congressman Bolsonaro said he would seek political asylum. His father is barred from running for office until 2030 and had his passport taken in February 2024 on the order of Brazil’s top court.
This is a developing story …
