National Harbor, MD:
During last week’s CPAC 2025 conference, APB News caught up with Oath Keepers’ founder Stewart Rhodes to understand what he is re-building now, and what his intentions are for the future. Rhodes was convicted of seditious conspiracy but freed from prison last month after President Trump commuted his 18-year sentence.
It was a chaotic week for Enrique Tarrio, the Former National Chairman of the Proud Boys who attended a demonstration in front of the U.S. Capitol to protest the remaining prisoners who have not yet received presidential pardons for crimes stemming from the January 6, 2021, riot in the nation’s capital.
Tarrio was arrested on a charge that he assaulted a woman during the protests. APB News spoke with Tarrio that night where he confirmed he was booked on a misdemeanor charge and released within a few hours.
Tarrio who received a presidential pardon for crimes stemming from the attacks was serving a 22 year sentence, the longest among hundreds of Capitol riot cases, when President Donald Trump granted clemency last month to most of the 1,500-plus people charged in the Jan. 6 attack.
Tarrio explained to APB News what the Proud Boys new mission is and why he feels his group‘s intentions are misunderstood.
