At the Celebrate Israel Parade in New York City, Israeli Ambassador Danny Danon expresses his deep pride and emotion while marching alongside thousands of Jewish and non-Jewish supporters waving the Israeli flag. Acknowledging the vital alliance between the United States and Israel, Danon welcomes the massive turnout of everyday citizens and dignitaries alike. Dismissing the absence of the city’s mayor, he notes that the overwhelming display of love and solidarity carries an incredible presence, especially as he leads a dedicated delegation of United Nations ambassadors down the parade route to prove that Israel stands far from alone on the global stage.

Danon reflects on the personal significance of witnessing this historic, record-breaking turnout of supporters. He shares that his regular duties at the United Nations often require him to stand alone at the podium to push back against anti-Israel rhetoric, falsehoods, and hostility from various member states. Returning to New York City’s streets to experience such an immense, tangible wave of public community support provides him with renewed energy and a powerful reminder of the deep bonds of friendship that remain unwavering behind his diplomatic mission.
