The honorees for the Kennedy Center Honors proudly displayed their awards at a formal dinner at the State Department hosted by Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Kennedy Center CEO Ambassador Richard Grenell on the eve of the stage show.
This year’s recipients are actor Sylvester Stallone, singers Gloria Gaynor and George Strait, the rock band Kiss and the broadway actor and singer Michael Crawford.
The medallion is gold disc etched on one side with the Kennedy Center’s image and rainbow colors. and has the honoree’s name on the flip side along with the date of the weekend ceremony. The medallion is attached to a navy blue ribbon offering a new look and appearances from previous awards.
