APB News was on Essex Street in Manhattan, where hundreds of New Yorkers gathered to make their voices heard against what they call a dangerous rise in radical extremism and antisemitism across the five boroughs.
The “Unite Against Terror” rally, organized by the grassroots movement End Jew Hatred, was strategically held right outside the headquarters of the Democratic Socialists of America at Essex Street and Straus Square.
The rally included families of 9/11 victims ahead of the 25th anniversary of the tragedy. Demonstrators aimed their frustration squarely at local political leadership and the DSA, arguing that recent political rhetoric from city officials has done more to normalize hostility toward Jewish residents than to protect them.
A counter demonstration broke out after months of intensifying friction in Israeli politics and the actions of the IDF which caused a faceoff between multiple groups. More multiple large-scale protests demanding the accountability of city leaders are planned before the mid term elections.
The Democratic Socialists of America have not issued a formal response to the demonstration outside their offices.
