Following his release from federal prison in October 2025 granted a commutation of his 87-month sentence by President Donald Trump, former Congressman George Santos is focusing on rebuilding his life, returning to his social media platforms, and restarting his career on pay sites like Cameo.
Recently, Mike Leventhal caught up with the former New York congressman to talk about the role Hispanics play in arts, culture and business and what could be his future political plans.
Following his release, Santos indicated an interest in focusing on prison reform, and what could be nextparticularly highlighting the conditions of solitary confinement, which he described as daily torture during his stay at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fairton, New Jersey.
George told Mike that he is now on a “personal journey” and reflects every day on his rapid departure from Congress in late 2023.
