According to numerology experts, 2017 will be a “Year of 1,” a time of new beginnings. To commemorate, 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge is creating a community experience of light and intention to celebrate the arrival of its much-anticipated flagship property at 60 Furman Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn. Dressing the facade of the 11-story waterfront building in more than 100,000 low energy, LED lights, 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge will twinkle throughout the holiday season from now through January 8, 2017 – everyday day from 6 PM until 1 AM. Standing as a beacon of light, the display is visible from Brooklyn Bridge Park, downtown Manhattan, and the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges.
1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge is inviting the community to celebrate the lighting light display can participate in the experience, lighting up Brooklyn by leaving their positive intentions for 2017 across a 100-foot community art wall. To round out the sensory experience and celebrate the holiday season, 1 Hotels tapped Spotify to curate an accompanying holiday playlist, which visitors can stream by searching “1 Hotel Holiday.”
The new hotel is scheduled to open in mid-February.
