While the country has been upbeat in its support for the UAE Defense Forces protecting its residents, visitors and Ex-Pats now here – many received an additional show of support when shoppers at the famed Dubai Mall at PM on Monday night saw the UAE President – His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan walking through the world’s largest shopping destination, accompanied by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.
APB News is here in Dubai covering Operation Epic Fury and saw the look of joy and relief to see the country’s leadership amongst the people – even having dinner in one of the mall’s restaurants with the entourage.
We met up with an expat from Ghana who walked up to the leaders – shook their hands and thanked them for reassuring the public that the country is protected from outside attacks.
Sheikh Mohamed asked him if he was happy. He smiled and responded, “Yes, Yes.” The President then wished him a pleasant stay in the UAE and encouraged him to enjoy his time in the country – which we know our new friend from Ghana certainly will.
Word spread fast through the region that the president visited the Dubai Mall in an unannounced visit which offered encouragement and peace of mind to all that are here.
