Southampton, NY
The Hamptons’ July Fourth weekend wasn’t just about sun and celebration; it was a political battleground, with the New York City mayoral race front and center.
Independent candidate Eric Adams dominated the scene, crisscrossing high-profile events to raise funds and awareness. His primary target: controversial Democratic frontrunner, socialist Zohran Mamdani.
Speaking exclusively to APB News, Adams seized on Mamdani’s Columbia University admission application, disputing the candidate’s claim of being Black or African American.
At the Dan’s Taste Celebration at the Southampton Arts Center, Adams further attacked Mamdani’s policy proposals as “dead-enders.” He specifically warned that Mamdani’s audacious $9 billion income tax hikes on the wealthy and corporations face an insurmountable hurdle without Albany’s approval – a move firmly opposed by Governor Kathy Hochul, who is gearing up for her own re-election bid next year.
