A violent scene broke out in front of a Bedford-Stuyvesant brownstone when the NYPD and City Marshals arrived to evict a Brooklyn grandmother.
APB News viewed mobile phone videos from the scene where it was clear that a NYPD sergeant grabbed NYC Council Member Chi Ossé (D-Brooklyn) and slammed him to the hard pavement while officers quickly held him to the ground – placing handcuffs on him – while leaning on him.
NYPD officers took Ossé to the local precinct, as it is not clear if he was placed under arrest or will be charged for interfering in the police action.
APB News was told by sources that NYC mayor Zohran Mamdani was made aware of this incident.
Longtime resident Carmella Charrington had just spent six days on Rikers Island, held in contempt for a guardianship case tied to the brownstone property.
This is a complicated issue involving property deed theft through schemes related to forged documents, a short-sale, using foreclosure-rescue scams and other means – make it unclear who actually owns this house.
This is a developing story!
