Midtown Manhattan

By APB Staff Writer

With the 2020 US presidential election just one day away, many of New York City businesses are taking no chances and have spent the weekend and today boarding up their storefronts over fears of potential rioting and looting.

Stores from Soho to Midtown, and the Upper East Side have brought in contractors to protect their glass windows with plywood in fear of what could happen.

The NYPD teams that work with the high end stores have been advising each manager to take extra precautions

APB street video teams saw retailers including Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Louis Vuitton, Bergdorf Goodman, Dolce & Gabbana and Tourneau boarding up their storefronts.

The NYPD will be on patrol on Fifth Avenue but with uncertainty about, these seem to be best precautions.
