Four civilians and two FDNY members are injured At 730 AM this morning, the operating cabin of a construction crane caught fire and collapsed onto Tenth Avenue in Manhattan between 40th and 42st Street during morning rush hour as terrified commuters ran for his or her lives.
More than 16 tons of construction crane gear smashed onto a nearby glass residential building causing substantial damage carrying concrete. The FDNY extinguished the crane cab fire within an hour upgrading this to a 5-Alarm call at 550 Tenth Avenue.
