Some 60 Firefighters were called to help put out a kitchen fire in an apartment at the Essex House on 160 Central Park South. According to the FDNY the fire erupted on a stove on the 40th floor of the luxury building.
The buildings sprinkler system helped keep the fire from spreading. One woman was home, but not injured.
