Tuesday, October 24, 2023 – United Nations Plaza, NYC: As U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived at the United Nations this morning, he was greeted by the cheers and vocal demands by hundreds of supporters of the State of Israel demanding the release of the hostages taken by Hamas on October 7. The gathering saw people lining up on First Avenue for five blocks across from the UN entrance in front of the U.S. Mission.

APB cameras watched as Jon Polin and his wife Rachel Goldberg were greeted with hugs and kisses from teary eyed demonstrators along the route – their son Hersh Goldberg-Polin was kidnapped after a part of his arm was blown off by an explosion and his condition and whereabouts are not known.

Invited inside to speak at the UN Security Council meeting on Israel-Palestine as Gaza crisis, to make a similar appeal was Brooklyn-native Ruby Chen. His 19-year-old son, Itay, was taken hostage.

More than 1,400 people in Israel have been killed, mostly civilians who died in the initial Hamas rampage. It is believed 222 people including foreigners were captured by Hamas during the incursion and taken into Gaza, Israel’s military has said.

Four of those have been released, including a mother and daughter from Illinois and two elderly Israeli women.
