Thousands of people gathered in New York City’s Times Square to view an empty Shabbat table set for 224 people across Duffy Square to symbolize the 224 hostages being held captive by the terrorist group Hamas.
Hamas terrorists have abducted over 200 innocent civilians, including infants and Holocaust survivors. The group of victims includes men, women and children of all ages ranging from Argentinians, Germans, Americans, French, Russians, and Israelis.
APB News talked with the new Israeli Consulate General for NY about the emotional impact this is having on New Yorkers. The installation by the Israeli-American Council and other Jewish organizations also featured several relatives of hostages speaking about this ordeal.
IAC is seeking to raise global awareness and generate public pressure to secure the hostages’ safe release.
