Wednesday night, November 1, 2023 – Columbus Circle:
Organized by the group Pro-Israeli Democracy, a candlelight vigil took place to remember the 1400 people that were killed during the October 7 assault by Hamas in Israel.
Hundreds gathered in Columbus Circle with many kneeling down to light a memorial candle to pray for the victims and for the hostages.
APB News spoke with Natalie Sanandaji, the 28 year old from Great Neck on Long Island who was in Israel at the Nova Music Festival when the rockets and Hamas gunmen descended on the fairground at 6:30 on Saturday morning, October 7th.
Natalie said that it’s important for her to speak to groups and share her experience but hasn’t been able to process the horror she and the others went through.
