Police have been posted around the clock outside his door and Strauss-Kahn’s every movement monitored electronically. Private armed guards and security cameras also watch him 24 hours a day. Prosecutors must be notified at least six hours before he goes out. He is allowed to leave for court appointments and doctor’s visits. The house rents for $50,000 a month. The cost for Strauss-Kahn’s house-arrest arraignments will run about $200,000 a month.
